DW [David Wolfson] and I agree that we must attack the Treasury position.

Rail papers arrive - no argument at all for electrification or trends

Nigel Lawson - drinks - rather pleased with budget and my line on it - worried about DW [Sir Douglas Wass] and latent Keynesianism. I agreed that simple Keynesianism would not do - BUT --> [sic]
