Falklands: Lewin notes - OD(SA)(82) 44th (0900Z) ("Tell CinC: PM's public speech - we are going for repossession - nothing less") [declassified Spt 2017]

These would appear to be notes of things said at OD(SA), points for action which he was passing on to the interested parties at the MOD, including Fieldhouse. The note at foot of the page says the document was extracted from Lewin's meeting pack for the COS meeting (which took place the hour before at 0800Z), probably in the form of a sheet he had torn out from a government issue spiral notebook, judging from the size and also the faint presence of lines. One of these notebooks survives in his private papers as LWN 1/25. Indeed the page might have come from that very book, since it covers 26 May.
