Falklands: MOD draft paper for OD(SA) ("Removal of Nuclear Weapons from the Task Group") [OD(SA)(82) 6 - Chiefs of Staff recommend consolidating in the carriers but not removing the weapons] [declassified Oct 2019]

Some version of this paper would appear to have been circulated to the War Cabinet as OD(SA)(82) 6, dated 12 April 1982, quite possibly handed out in person at a meeting by the Defence Secretary. It would seem no copy survives in the CAB file for the committee, CAB148/211. The index describes the missing item as follows (f8): “Top Secret Memorandum by Defence (Classified ATOMIC) Circ’d by DEF SEC".
