This document perhaps derives from DEFE69/1155, which has yet to be released in full. It is standard practice, if not quite invariable, for naval vessels to submit a written account of their activities to the Admiralty on their return from operations.The Report of Proceedings is a far fuller document than the daily logs maintained on board.
