Conservative Party: MT memoir ("Nigel Lawson's Resignation Oct 1989") ["unless I agreed to sack Alan Walters, he would hand in his resignation ... an absurd, indeed reprehensible proposition"] [released Mar 2019]
|Document type:||Declassified documents|
|Source:||Thatcher MSS, Churchill Archive Centre: THCR 1/20/7 f4|
Incomplete and undated; listed by date of Lawson's resignation. This memoir may have been begun on the day, but it as late as early 1992 it was even less complete that it is now. It is likely MT added to it that year, perhaps using fragmentary notes subsequently destroyed. See discussion on this page. Read all documents from the 1989 release of MT's party and personal papers.
