Conservative Party: MT speaking notes (cabinet dinner for tenth anniversary of her government) ["The Marxists thought they would bury us. We have buried Marxism"] [released Mar 2019]

Document type: Declassified documents
Source: Thatcher MSS, Churchill Archive Centre: THCR 1/14/18 f110
Editorial comments:

Date of composition uncertain, listed by date of the dinner itself. There are two drafts, the first (missing its final page) seems to derive from the Director of the Conservative Research Department, Robin Harris. The second section, on Foreign Affairs, appears to be the work of Charles Powell. The dinner was not open to the press. Read all documents from the 1989 release of MT's party and personal papers.
