Editorial comments: | Undated; listed by guesswork. MT met Beckett at 1200. A subsequent minuted meeting on 12 Apr 1983 appears to have a different agenda (her coming speech to the CBI), although elements of Beckett's remarks might relate to the later meeting - eg, "Vast majority want you to win". There is a clear reference to Nissan's plans for a new factory in Sunderland.
