In Toronto

Eddie George - worried about J B/G [Jock Bruce Gardyne] interpretation of “no overfunding” - very rigid, and EG wanted to get ahead in view of the large amount of maturing stock in Sept Oct etc

- agreed that if I had been there no problem

Discussed interest rates - I said I would not press too hard now, but I would look towards another ½ or 1% as soon as the market gave us a little lead
