4.30 Tebbit + PM on Wages Councils

NT had been furious about E record of SB [Supplementary Benefit] and PM’s draft of SB announcement - he got it changed and toned down - apparently because he supported PM on the N Ireland Bill (ie no guillotine on her own backbenchers). Defensive on Wages Councils but agreed to put forward some for abolition.

ACAS report would take one year - but then we could leave it on the table until the next election.
