Stupid reply from Chancellor about my minute on opting out of indexed pensions

- cabinet taken by Willie [William Whitelaw] so nothing will be done

But I write reply pointing out errors of his argument

Finishing touches to Wages Council memo.

CPRS says nothing and swallows legal line

- my memo kills the ILO &#43 Wages Council Act 1979

[sic] on break down of UN peace initiative

David Lomax etc at Nat West mainly concerned about the nasty taxes that Chancellor may have up his sleeve

Bill McCulloch - lost his shirt on real estate and now off to Cairo + Germany doing consulting for World Bank & rather sad really - he lost McLean Gardens ($ 160m)

All awaiting the attack on Falklands
