Talked to Peter Middleton about conversion and the £8 Bn in bills in issue dept - legal problem. PM not too keen on conversion of conventional to IGs [Indexed Gilts] - but sees the value of it

Dinner + Mrs W at Guildhall Accountants

- Saw Sparrow and he thought the unemployment study dissension was due to “lack of communication” - but I think much more than that
