MTFS [Medium Term Financial Strategy] meeting - lots of dotting and crossing but left 8-12 or 9-13 argument open.

Saw PM with Chips Keswick (Hambros) - City solidly behind her - but nationalised industries

Friend of the Tory Party

Adam Ridley - Lunch at Ebury St. - he wanted to know what I was planning to do - I do not really know except M etc.

Note to PM on budget arithmetic - for meeting on Monday - she is anxious to have £100m to stop gas prices rising in real terms - crazy - AND she wants mortgage tax relief up to £30,000.
