Memo on Channel Tunnel - guarantees

11.30 LSE - rather useful discussion on monetary base control

Collapse of Laker - PM was considering putting in £5 million or so. NEVER it would be quite stupid.

Saw PM - She had been to Barclays for dinner two days ago - she asked H. Rose [Harold Rose] about economy - he said export lead growth!
