Editorial comments: | A copy of the original letter from David Liddelow, aged 9, dated 15 March 1980, was published in the Daily Express on 11 April 2013. He wrote that: "Last night when we were saying prayers my Daddy said everyone has done wrong things excep [sic] Jesus. // I said I don't think you have done bad things because you are the Prime Minister. // Am I right or is my Daddy?" The exchange was quoted by the Bishop of London in his address at MT's funeral in St Paul's on 17 April 2013. |
