| Editorial comments: | The Lawson minute is preceded by a covering note. The copy shown the Governor is missing around 1 inch on the right hand side of the page, apparently a common problem with documents faxed from the Treasury to the Bank of England, not adding much to mutual understanding. A clean copy from a carbon in the Lawson MSS at Christ Church can be found after the Bank of England fax at the end of the document. |
