On American television, Margaret Thatcher talks about a solution to the NATO question “jointly with the Soviet Union”. Within NATO, there absolutely must be changes. The NATO strategy must be considered and the alliance must get by with fewer armed forces and less equipment in future. It is a noteworthy and helpful interview for us, because Margaret Thatcher here begins to adjust even in security policy to the changed situation in Europe.
