Remarks visiting Towcester races ("very impressed")

Document type: Speeches, interviews, etc.
Venue: Towcester Racecourse, Buckinghamshire

Editorial comments: Afternoon. MT left for London at 1600. The Racing Post, 17 April 1990, has a brief account of MT’s (presumably private) visit. "She would not be drawn on the politics of the sport and confined herself to saying `I am very impressed by the number of families here today and with the standard of the course’". The paper reported that it was her first visit to the races since taking office.
