MT visited the docks at Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, before opening the Rath Water Gardens ("a beautiful advantage to the town"). "I’ll be back" she promised. She then drove to Pembroke Dock to tour the Govan Davies Group port facilities. Later in the day there was a stop at Middlewood Farm in Bwlch where she was lobbied about delays in Beef Suckler Cow Headage Payments (see Brecon and Radnor Express, 4 October 1990). According to the paper additional government aid (660,000 pounds) to Welsh hill farmers was announced several days later. |
