Prime Minister
Thank you, Mr. President. Merry Christmas.
Speaking for the people of Great Britain and the United Kingdom, can I wish peoples everywhere a happy time during this festive season.
The message is peace on earth, but it does not stop there. It goes on to goodwill to men, for that is the way we learn to live the better together.
And perhaps I may borrow a phrase from one of my fellow countrymen, Charles Dickens, who at the end of a famous book “Christmas Carol” said: “May God bless us, every one!”
