MAGGIE SAYS
Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher told The Sun:
‘I am very encouraged that so many people have produced so many ideas for cutting out waste.
Every £ saved by cutting out inefficiency and waste is a £ more to spend for services that people need. I hope that The Sun will also give their dossier to local authorities and nationalised industries, because they must be deeply involved in this battle.
And I hope that everyone will keep up the pressure on their elected representatives.’
