"There are a lot of pressures involved in working here, " she said, "but the men are doing very well. I haven’t seen any signs of industrial action. In fact I have been very impressed by what I have seen". The Evening Standard, 21 February 1979 (also late edition), reported her saying, "It’s very cold work for the divers. I thought it was very interesting to see all these chaps working and they were so good and really cheerful. It is always best to see these sort of projects for yourself, rather than just reading about them".
