BBC indexes note that MT commented that she was always cautious about opinion polls (one that morning had given the Conservatives a 12 per cent lead over Labour). Conservative Party Archive material from Central Office monitoring of the broadcast media notes that MT was interviewed at home on the campaign for BBC Radio 4 The World this Weekend. However, there is no record of this interview in BBC indexes and it seems probable that the material came from one of MT’s two photocalls during the day (see also Remarks posing for photographers with Shadow Cabinet). |
