A MESSAGE FROM MRS MARGARET THATCHER, MP

The National Exhibition Centre is an outstanding example of what can be achieved by co-operation.

It will be a lasting symbol of British enterprise. As exhibitions and conferences become increasingly international in character; it is right that we should have the best possible facilities in this country.

Britain was for many years “the workshop of the world.” This splendid new development will provide a shop window for the world.
