| Editorial comments: | Available on CD-ROM only. MT was touring "critical seats" in Yorkshire. She visited Huddersfield as well as Bradford and made a speech to 200 party workers at Cleckheaton, a few miles south of Bradford. Material from her walkabout in Huddersfield was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 PM. Alan Watkins later commented that it was unclear exactly what MT had said in Bradford on the question of devolution and "conscience" (Observer, 12 December 1976). |
