MT spoke to an audience of around 750, attacking Denis Healey’s "madman’s merry-go-round" speech on inflation the previous week. "Look whose driving the merry-go-round. ... Inflation is rampant and many people are suffering day by day, from rising prices. Incs are not rising to the same extent". In a time of inflation government expenditure was still too high. |
