Editorial comments: Evening. "Mrs Thatcher, who was dressed for a dinner engagement later in the evening, thanked all those who had helped organise the market. She said that it had been quite a week in Parliament with the new Budget and tax allowances. "All things are at last on the right course, but there is still a great deal to be done," she ended". MT stepped in to open the market after comedian Bernie Winters was taken ill (Finchley Press, 6 November 1970).
