| Editorial comments: | Time uncertain. See Kent and Sussex Courier, 19 July 1968. "Mrs Margaret Thatcher MP, who presented the prizes, likened education to dress-making. The cut-out pieces bore no resemblance to the finished article, but, in the same way, the different subjects studied and character lessons learned at school combined to make up a "dress" that was either smart and attractive or cobbled at the seams. Mrs Thatcher told the parents that the struggle involved in giving children the advantage which went with attending such a school as Hamilton House were well worthwhile". |
