"Mrs Thatcher’s remarks were an expression of gratitude for the contribution Mr and Mrs Faulkner have made to the life of the community. "Thank you for everything," said Mrs Thatcher, adding that it had always been a pleasure to come to the church, mentioning that Mrs Faulkner’s talents in the sphere of speech and drama had been greatly appreciated" (Finchley Press, 18 February 1966).
