EC: FCO record of conversation (“informal record” of Athens European Council, 4/6 Dec) [third day - "Discussion of Presidency's Final Compromise Proposal", plus drafts] [declassified Dec 2015]

Drafts of the presidency conclusions, which were not in the end agreed, follow the conversation record. No formal minutes are supposed to be kept by the Council itself, although an informal “proces-verbal” may exist in the archive of the European Council in Brussels. A covering note explaining something of the composition follows the text, including an annotation by David Hannay describing himself as strick by pusillanimity and hostility of the Italians - Craxi and Andreotti at their first European Council.
