Between 0945 and 1100 when MT was visiting the National Center for Atmospheric Research. The Times has a brief account of the visit to Boulder ("Margaret Thatcher Day" proclaimed banners around town). F-MEMT refused to comment on accusations that there had been intelligence failures with regard to Iraqi intentions towards Kuwait. "As she left she said she hoped that the climatologists would look after the Gulf Stream for us".

We are very concerned indeed, as I indicated yesterday, of course we are and we are looking at the next Resolution to come before the Security Council and that is being negotiated now.
