Editorial comments: | Available on CD-ROM only. Around 1610-20. MT made brief stops at five marginal London constituencies during the afternoon: Fulham (1420-30), Battersea South (1445-55), Norwood (1515-25), Lewisham West (1545-55) and Dulwich (1610-20). She commented generally on the campaign when she got to Dulwich, chatting informally with the press. Predictably she declined invitations to forecast how many seats the Conservatives would win - "You are all trying to tempt me" (Yorkshire Post, 3 May 1979). We attempted to trace Anne Morrow in order to clear permission to reproduce this article but were unable to do so. |
