Scotland's Cup Bid

On the eve of Scotland's first match in the World Cup. Mrs. Thatcher has sent the following telegram to Ally MacLeod, Manager of the Scottish team, in Cordoba, Argentina:

“Everyone in the United Kingdom is rooting for Scotland as they start their bid to bring home the World Cup and I wish them the luck to go with their undoubted ability and determination” .
