Editorial comments: Around 1700. See the Barnet Press, 18 July 1975. MT presented a rose bowl to Mrs Shirley Gosling, mother of Wayne, the winning baby. "In a short speech Mrs Thatcher expressed her thanks at being asked along to the show. She said she looked forward to coming and would hate to miss it. Mrs Thatcher congratulated all the mothers for looking after their babies so beautifully and then thanked the two doctors who judged the entries. She also thanked the show’s organisers, Mrs J. Levinson and Mrs Betty Gibson, and their helpers for making it such a success".
