Editorial comments:

Available on CD-ROM only. Morning. CONThere is additional material in the [Ottawa] Citizen, 25 September 1975. "Mrs Thatcher’s only noticeable annoyance during the news conference was when a reporter suggested that she was regarded as a representative of the right wing in Britain. Labels, she retorted, are grossly misleading. Most people hold a mixture of views. Her own political ideas were merely "the birthright of every British citizen". She said also that she had found more pessimism about economic problems in North America than in Britain. She refused to offer advice to contenders for the leadership of the Canadian Progressive Conservatives: "You state very firmly what you believe in and leave others to make their judgment".
