Editorial comments: | The Retarded Children’s Aid Society had converted former nursing accommodation at Clare Hall Hospital into a home for nineteen disabled children and adults. The Finchley Press, 19 February 1971 has an account. "Speaking at Friday’s ceremony, Mrs Thatcher, a patron of the Retarded Children’s Aid Society, said the Government and local authorities will give as much help as possible to the home". Local MP Cecil Parkinson was also present. |
