Editorial comments: 1500. See Finchley Press, 17 October 1969. MT unveiled a plaque at the new headquarters of the 11th Finchley Scout Group. "Mrs Thatcher opened her speech humorously by saying that it was a much younger audience than the one she had just left at Brighton and went on to praise the efforts of all who had worked on the project. She felt that it was not right to call such a magnificent building a hut. Mrs Thatcher added that it was a special pleasure to her to know that the work had been done by the group and she was sure that there was a greater fulfilment in the sense of achievement".
