MT spoke on the subject "The Law as it affects Women" "An informative talk referred briefly to the rights of married women before changes in the law were made for her protection. Advice was given on points to observe today in order that the woman and her children might be provided for in the event of the loss of support by the husband. Mrs Thatcher stressed that in a happy marriage there was no occasion for a wife to consider her legal rights as discussion normally provided agreement on all matters".
