Reflecting generally on election arrangements the same observer noted that "Attendance increased as Polling Day got nearer", that "Not more than 6 stewards [were] necessary - surplus YCs could be out canvassing or delivering", that "No mikes were really needed anywhere" and that "Following meetings Local and National Press handouts could be given concerning extracts from speeches and reply to questions".
