Document type: Speeches, interviews, etc.
Venue: Finchley

Editorial comments: 1930. See Finchley Press, 22 March 1963: "She spoke on aspects of her work in Parliament and gave some amusing insights into the conduct of Parliamentary business. After her talk, Mrs Thatcher mingled with club members as they played table tennis, billiards, badminton or just chatted over a coffee. A great many questions were put to her on topics ranging from teachers’ salaries to nuclear weapons. Mrs Thatcher said she enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the club. "I had no idea there was something so lively of this kind on a Saturday evening in Finchley," she added. "With all the questions put to me, it has been a most interesting evening" ".
