Christmas—A Time for the Family

Dear Sir,

Christmas is a time for the family. Amidst the mass of domestic things which the mother has to prepare for this event, the Christmas message of "Peace on Earth, Good Will toward Men", may tend to be forgotten or to recede into the background.

In these days it is easier to pose problems than to solve them; the one sure foundation from which we can build our hopes in this changing world is family life in the home. [ Denis Thatcher] my husband and I wish you all a happy Christmas and a successful New Year.

(Mrs.) Margaret Thatcher. Prospective Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Finchley and Friern Barnet.
